last year my wife, Chris, entered a travel competition and was very lucky to be chosen as a winner by Oliver's Travels, to say we were over the moon was very moderately understated.
The prize consisted of a weeks stay at Villa Shambhala in the Dordogne to be taken anytime between November last year and the end of May this year...........however, before we looked at dates it was straight onto the Internet to check out the Villa........Wow!

As you can see, the villa sleeps up to eight and reading the communication from Oliver's Travels the prize included all travel for up to four people (if we wished to make our party up to the eight all we had to pay was flights for the extra four). However, in our wisdom we decided that this holiday prize would be a special treat just for the 2 of us, so now it was into the diary and pick a date when to go.
Living on the Isle of Man we knew we had to be back on the island for the TT motorcycle road races which start this year on the 28th May, so we picked the week 14th to the 21st May. Week picked it was back onto Flora at Oliver's Travels to get everything booked up.
Flora was super efficient and quickly got back to us with everything fully sorted, return BA flights for 2 from Gatwick to Bordeaux Airport and a weeks car hire all included in the prize, what a result.
It only remained for me to then book flights from the Isle of Man down to Gatwick but that only took moments.......so we are ready for the off......all thanks to the wonderful people at Oliver's Travels, all that remains is to choose which bedroom to use, so much choice.
We both love France, especially the Dordogne, and have already planned loads to do and see, however we will also leave heaps of time just to chill out and relax at the lovely looking Villa
Shamhala.
